Poker hand rankings
The best acceptable five is compared. Hold'em and Omaha High have the same seniority; The only difference is the way in which the five cards are selected.
From strong to weak
| Combination | Proven Example | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Straight flush | AKQJ10 | Royal Flush: High straight flush. |
| Four of a kind | AAAA2 | Four aces. |
| Full house | KKK33 | Three kings and a pair of triplets. |
| Flush | AJ852 | Five spades without sequence. |
| Straight | 98765 | Five ranks in a row. |
| Three of a kind | QQQ72 | Three ladies. |
| Two pair | JJ442 | Jacks and fours. |
| One pair | 99AQ3 | Two nines. |
| High card | AJ852 | Ace without a pair. |
Kicker, wheel, suit
If the categories are the same, compare the values of the significant cards, then the kickers. For example, two pairs A-A and K-K with a 4 kicker are higher than the same pairs with a 3 kicker. An Ace can only be low on a straight A-2-3-4-5, which is called a wheel. He doesn't tie K-A-2-3-4 into a straight.
The same values of different suits are equal: spades are not older than hearts. If multiple participants have the same best valid five, they split the pot. In Omaha, the 2+3 rule is first applied, then the fives are compared.
